Arial Roots is an installation of paintings, sculpture, and floral arrangements and a collaboration with Sheila Advani, Diana Cull, Fay McLaren, and Rosalie Ingenito. These members of the Washington DC chapter of Ikebana International contributed live plant arrangements and I responded with paintings and sculpture. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging, a meditative discipline and ritual practice.
