Arial Roots is an installation of paintings, sculpture, and floral arrangements in collaboration with Sheila Advani, Diana Cull, Fay McLaren, and Rosalie Ingenito. These members of the Washington DC chapter of Ikebana International contributed live plant arrangements and I responded with paintings and sculpture. Ikebana is the Japanese art of flower arranging, a meditative discipline and ritual practice.
